Plot
When the huge Lawson cattle station has no heir, rival factions in Australia see an opportunity to take control. The series was filmed in the Northern Territory and South Australia in remote locations that are barely inhabited – let alone on screen.
it’s full of amazing talent and the background is beautiful
Locations include the UNESCO World Heritage site Kakadu National Park – with special permission from the traditional owners – and Tipperary Station, a real working cattle station so big it has its own airport and school. The plot is believable and easy to follow, but the characters are hard to like.
It was so hard to root for anyone
None of them showed any signs of redemption until episode 5. The entire premise of the show is tragedy upon tragedy.
Episode 5 brings a reunion of sorts, then more tragedy
There are only 6 episodes, and maybe episode 6 is what brings it all together, but honestly, I was so depressed after the 1st 5 episodes that I couldn’t take it anymore. The balance between hope and despair is sorely lacking.
It was not an enjoyable class for me at all
I only stayed out of it because I’m a huge fan of some of the actors and actresses.
